The white town of Álora sits above the Guadalhorce Valley, about 50 minutes from Benalmádena — and almost no visitors to the Costa del Sol ever make it there. This small-group tour (maximum 8 people) takes you for the morning.
You start with a guided walk through Álora’s old town: the parish church, the local museum and the Moorish castle that once guarded the valley, all entry fees included. Then it’s out to a family-run vineyard to walk the vines and hear how the wine is made, followed by a visit to a boutique winery to see fermentation and barrel ageing up close — your guide translates so you can ask the winemaker anything.
The tour finishes with a tasting of four local wines paired with Andalusian tapas: cheese, chorizo, Serrano ham and olives. Round-trip transport in an air-conditioned vehicle is included, with pickup from Benalmádena and other points along the coast.
